Workman Consulting was founded by JT Workman in 2003 in Hickman County KY. JT was raised on, and still helps operate, his families row crop farm. After receiving a precision ag degree from Jackson State and an Agronomy degree from Murray State, JT returned home to join the family farm. He used his degrees to start a soil fertility program on his farm which caught the attention of his neighbor that also needed fertility work done. This happened several more times as the years went on and 18 years later Workman Consulting services over 150,000 acres in 12 counties in 2 states. Part of JT’s return to the farm was the construction of his 5,000 head swine operation that he still operates today. When JT was unable to find a reliable technical service provider to write his nutrient management plan, he decided to get certified himself. Since then, Workman Consulting has done hundreds of manure and nutrient management plans for growers all over Western Kentucky and Northwest Tennessee. Workman Consulting continues to add innovation to farm experience, providing customers with practical, data driven solutions for all sized operations.
